The Avengers (or Avengers Assemble as it’s known in the UK) was in my opinion one of the best superhero movies ever made and well deserves its Oscar nomination for visual effects. This effects reel gives us a glimpse of the work created by “over 200 ILM artists, scientists, and engineers backed up by a world class production team” and demonstrates some of the truly brilliant work that went into making the movie. What impresses me most about the clip isn’t just the parts we know are computer generated but the elements we take for granted as being real that aren’t. Amazing stuff!
